My Goals & Aims

Several people have asked me what is the point of me having a blog and what do I hope to achieve from it. It’s a good question and I shall try and answer it.

A blog is a great vehicle to expand one’s profile. Most people if they need to have a Will written or have concerns and questions that they would like answered, are not going to open the yellow pages or take the number out of a newspaper or magazine. Would you invite a complete stranger into your home, sit them down, tell them EVERYTHING about your financial affairs and everything about your family? I don’t think so. Most people will gravitate towards someone that has been recommended to them, that they may have met at some function or who has written articles in newspapers or magazines, a name they recognise.

I love what I do and I find it incredibly alarming that so many adults, somewhere between 60% and 70%, do not have Wills. My goal through this blog is to inform, educate, answer questions and take away some of the ‘darkness’ associated with the making of a Will. One is not tempting fate by writing a Will, you are making sure that chaos and financial difficulties do not occur at a time when they are needed least.

A Will is a very powerful tool; I tell people that they can rule from the grave with it! It has certainly brought a smile to some of my clients’ faces!
